Ten students and three chaperones are currently on an exhilarating J-Term trip in Peru, immersed in the rich history and culture of the Inca Empire. This ten-day adventure, which began on January 7th, 2024, is taking our students through some of the most iconic sites in South America.

The journey commenced with a flight from Logan Airport in Boston, transiting through Miami to Lima, Peru. Now in the heart of the Inca civilization, students are exploring a blend of pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern sites. In Lima, the group has traversed the vibrant Miraflores and San Isidro Districts, delved into the past at the Huaca Pucllana Site Museum, and experienced the mystery of the underground catacombs.

As the trip progresses, the students are set to explore the Sacsayhuaman fortress, the Sacred Valley, and the world-renowned Machu Picchu. They will also visit the Maras Salt Mines, the Moray Inca Agricultural Laboratory, and the visually stunning Rainbow Mountain and Valley of the Goblins. Each site offers a unique window into the Inca's advanced civilization and Peru's diverse landscape.
